Protein French toast
This is a comforting classic breakfast. Add extra fibre and sweetness by serving with fresh or stewed berries, or sliced banana.
Ingredients
- 1 bottle (237 mL) Vanilla Glucerna®
- 2 eggs
- ½ tsp (2.5 mL) cinnamon
- 6 slices whole wheat bread
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) non-hydrogenated margarine
Instructions
- In a medium-size bowl, mix the Glucerna®, eggs, and cinnamon.
- Soak the bread in the egg mixture until saturated.
- In a large frying pan, melt the margarine over medium heat.
- Place the bread in the pan and cook for approximately 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Serve hot.
