See you in 2022!
Thank you for your support throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been tough on everyone, and changed a lot of what we were used to and loved, including our Diabetes Canada D-Camps programs.
Like many organizations, we had to pivot, and we’re glad you came along for the ride. Our A Dose of D-Camps digital program was a great success. Because of you, children living with type 1 diabetes and their families found a way to connect and maintain a sense of community in these uncertain times.
We are thrilled to share the news that D-Camps will return to in-person camps in 2022, while also offering some digital programs. The safety of our campers is our top priority. Diabetes Canada will continue to keep all D-Camps families updated as we move forward, ensuring the comfort and safety of everyone.
Our goal is to create the safest possible experience in 2022 for our entire camp community. All plans will include relevant regulations and best practices from Health Canada, as well as federal and provincial government regulations.
We are excited to welcome our campers back, and appreciate the support and patience of the entire D-Camps community during this time. Let’s continue to stay connected—please like and follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
After two summers away from D-Camps, some campers and participants may be wondering which program they’re eligible for. Don’t worry. We’ve got you. In 2022, it’s all about being flexible. This means you can choose the program that works best for you, especially if it’s one that includes friends you made when you last attended camp. Once you’ve considered your options for 2022, feel free to reach out to the D-Camps team at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. And, we’ll continue to be in touch as we prepare for the year ahead.

Diabetes Canada’s camping tradition began in 1953 in Eastern Ontario. Since that time, our camp program has grown extensively and the organization currently operates nine overnight camp programs across Canada plus numerous year round programs.
