Camp Huronda Washroom Rebuilding Campaign ribbon-cutting ceremony
On May 31, 2026, Camp Huronda celebrated the opening of its new washroom facilities, which marked a significant milestone for our flagship camp. The opening of these facilities represented the successful realization of a goal that Diabetes Canada has pursued for more than two decades. We are grateful to the Jackson family, who led this campaign, and to their daughter Joanna, whose story inspired its launch in 2023— along with generous donors like you who made this project possible.
We are delighted to announce that we have reached 90% of our goal to date.

The new facility blends modern design with the camp's welcoming cottage atmosphere. Guests enjoyed touring the facilities and were delighted by the quality and thoughtfulness of the space. Overall, this project is a powerful reminder of the lasting impact that donor generosity will have on the lives of campers for decades to come.
