Canada is home to visible minorities at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The three largest visible minority groups in 2011 – South Asians, Chinese and Blacks – accounted for 61.3% of the total visible minority population.

Type 2 diabetes is preventable and can be best addressed through lifestyle choices. This event will feature breakout sessions by healthcare professionals and fitness instructors to help you understand the 'why' and give you the 'how' on preventing and managing type 2 diabetes.
