Even though one in three Canadians is living with diabetes or prediabetes, a poll commissioned by Diabetes Canada found that the average Canadian doesn’t know the early warning signs of the disease (which include being really thirsty) or the fact that type 2 diabetes can lead to complications, such as stroke.

It’s time to change this.

This April, we’re spreading the word about the risks of type 2 diabetes during our awareness campaign in partnership with Sun Life Financial. And we need your help: simply visit diabetestest.ca and take the Diabetes Canada Test.

“Knowing whether you are at risk for diabetes or prediabetes and understanding that there are actions you can take to prevent type 2 diabetes can and will improve the lives of Canadians,” says Dr. Jan Hux, past president and CEO, Diabetes Canada.

Take action now, and claim your powerto change your life and the lives of your loved ones.

Together, we can be stronger than diabetes.
