How can I register?
You can register for the Diabetes Canada Type 1 Expo in two ways:

Who can register?
Anybody can attend the Type 1 Expo. However, the Expo is of particular interest to adults and young adults diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, or those caring for individuals and children living with type 1.

How long is the Type 1 Expo?
The Type 1 Expo is a full day, from 8am to 4:30pm on Saturday, September 30.

Why is the Type 1 Expo only in Vancouver?
There are costs associated with hosting a Type 1 Expo, which limits the number of events we can host. The goal is to rotate hosting cities. In addition, Diabetes Canada does offer free education opportunities in communities across Canada. Check the community events listings in your area of call 1-800-BANTING (226-8464) to learn about resources in your area.

Can I volunteer at the Diabetes Canada Type 1 Expo?
Yes! Please see the following link or contact your local Diabetes Canada Vancouver office.

Can I take my child? Is there childcare on site?
Even though the information at the Type 1 Expo will be useful for parents with children with type 1 diabetes, there will not be child care on site.

Will food and snacks be provided?
Yes, lunch and light snacks will be provided for each Diabetes Canada Type 1 Expo participant.
