For more than 20 years, Taste of Kingston has raised awareness and support for sending local children and youth between the ages of seven to 15 with type 1 diabetes to Diabetes Canada D-Camps.

All proceeds help these kids attend our summer camps.

For many with diabetes, there is no one else in their school or community with the disease, and they can struggle with being open about it. A diagnosis also brings new skills for kids to learn, from how to test their blood sugar, and recognize a high or low, to maintain a balance between food, insulin and activity.

At Diabetes Canada D-Camps, kids get a break from being different. It is one of the few places where everyone gets it, and nothing has to be explained. Ninety percent of campers say they’ve gained tools to manage their diabetes.

Taste of Kingston takes place on the last Sunday in July at Confederation Basin in the heart of Kingston. The event showcases the best in local food, entertainment, and culture. With more than 45 food and lifestyle vendors, 100 sponsors, 60 volunteers and 5,000 attendees, this event has become a family-friendly tradition and a highlight of the summer.

The Taste of Kingston includes past favourites and exciting new elements!

The event showcases a variety of vendors, including local favourite food suppliers serving mouthwatering morsels. Attendees will also enjoy local crafts, clothing, and products.

This fun and interactive area includes games, art activities, and face painting, along with a few surprises. Kids will enjoy this space specially designed for them.

There is no better way to enjoy your tasty morsels than watching our live shows. This year, we will host culinary demos, and talks on how to live a healthy lifestyle.

Throughout the day our local entertainers will have attendees grooving, laughing, and enjoying the waterfront.

Everyone has the chance of going home with something. This includes a chance at winning a 50/50 draw or engaging through social media.

Taste Of Kingston gives visitors and residents alike a unique opportunity to experience the best in local cuisine and fantastic entertainment! And best of all you're helping support great causes right here in our community!
