Prediabetes complications

Diabetes can lead to a variety of complications, including heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, blindness, amputation, and more. People with diabetes are also at risk for mental health issues, such as anxiety or depression. It’s important to take a prediabetes diagnosis seriously because some complications, such as heart disease, may begin during prediabetes.

Making healthier choices can increase the chances of avoiding or delaying a type 2 diagnosis.
