The Accidental Team Diabetes Marathoner

“It was my own fault, completely,” Catherine Dickson admits. The Summerside, PEI resident had planned to do a 10k walk with Team Diabetes at the Athens Classic Marathon in Greece, but after a mix-up with the bus to the start line, she ended up at the start of the full marathon.

Vince Perdue wants to make a big dent in diabetes prevention, and has been doing so through Sudbury Rocks!!! Race, Run or Walk for Diabetes. May 2, 2010, will mark the marathon’s fifth year in raising funds to support the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Dublin Marathon

Description:

Commonly known as “The Friendly Marathon”, the Dublin Marathon runs through the historic streets of Ireland’s largest and capital city. You will enjoy a unique mixture of the historic and modern as you make your way along the mostly flat course that loops around the city. The early part of the course runs through many of Dublin’s Georgian streets and the picturesque Phoenix Park.

Distances Available: Full Marathon and 3k
