2017 Professional Section National Executive nominations for election

DEADLINE: May 1, 2017 at 5 p.m. EST

The Diabetes Canada National Professional Section Executive represent a multidisciplinary group of health-care professionals who are dedicated to improving the lives of people living with diabetes, those at risk for diabetes and those caring for loved ones with diabetes.  This group leads, advocates for and supports excellence in diabetes, education, research and clinical practice.

In this inaugural election year as a combined executive, we are seeking nominations to portfolio positions.  Each portfolio has two co-chairs comprised of a combination of an educator, clinician or scientist.

Please consider being nominated for a position that is best suited to your expertise and interests.

As a member of the national executive you will:

  • be involved in organizational strategic planning;
  • address issues that impact the professional membership including diabetes care, research and education across Canada; and,
  • demonstrate expertise for Diabetes Canada and other organizations.

Candidate nomination requirements

  • Must be a Professional Section member (student and associate members are not eligible).
  • Complete the nomination application and candidate profile form (incomplete applications and forms will not be accepted).
  • Submit applications electronically by May 1, 2017 at 1700 EST (late applications will not be accepted).
  • Grant permission to the Professional Section to use the candidate profile information for promotions and communications within Diabetes Canada Professional Section communication channels (see consent statement on the application form).
