2018 Professional Section National Executive:
Nominations for Election 

DEADLINE: June 1, 2018 at 5 pm EDT

The Diabetes Canada National Professional Section Executive represent a multidisciplinary group of health-care professionals who are dedicated to improving the lives of people living with diabetes, those at risk for diabetes and those caring for loved ones with diabetes. This group leads, advocates for and supports excellence in diabetes, education, research and clinical practice.

We are currently seeking nominations for a number of portfolio positions. Each portfolio has two co-chairs comprised of a combination of an educator and a clinician or scientist.

Please consider being nominated for a position that is best suited to your expertise and interests.

Available executive positions for 2018

  • Co-Chair Professional Development (Clinician/ Researcher) – 3-year term
  • Co-Chair Membership and Awards (Clinician/Researcher) – 3-year term
  • Co-Chair Professional Interest Groups (Diabetes Educator) – 3-year term
  • Co-Chair Marketing and Communications (Clinician/Researcher) – 3-year term
  • Co-Chair Quality (Diabetes Educator) – 3-year term
  • Co-Chair Research (Clinician/Researcher) – 3-year term

Candidate nomination requirements 

  • Must be a Professional Section member (student and associate members are not eligible).
  • Complete the nomination application and candidate profile form (incomplete applications and forms will not be accepted).
  • Submit applications electronically by June 1, 2018 at 17:00 EDT (late amd/or incomplete applications will not be accepted).
  • Grant permission to the Professional Section to use the candidate profile information for promotions and communications within Diabetes Canada Professional Section communication channels (see consent statement on the application form).
