Donate to Diabetes Canada - Saskatchewan!

Date & Time

May 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017

Today in Saskatchewan, there are more than 100,000 people living with diabetes and a further 176,000 people living with prediabetes along with many others undiagnosed with the disease. Across Canada, there is one Canadian diagnosed with diabetes every three minutes. Not only is the number of cases growing, so are the serious complications it causes. Diabetes is a cause of 30 per cent of all strokes, 40 percent of all heart attacks, 50 percent of kidney failure requiring dialysis and 70 percent of all lower limb non-traumatic amputations. Diabetes deeply affects many lives, but you can make a difference.

Every year, volunteers across Saskatchewan show their support for those affected by diabetes by canvassing their neighbourhoods.  It’s not too late to donate if you missed the opportunity with your local volunteer canvasser. Your financial support stays within the province of Saskatchewan and supports valuable programming such as the Travelling Diabetes Resource Program (TDRP), community expos and health fairs, educational programs, the Saskatchewan Children’s Camp for children and youth living with type 1 diabetes, and research for a cure. Donations above $15 will receive a tax receipt.

We hope you will consider making a donation today. Together, we will lead the fight against diabetes!
