Get ready! Unique culinary experience makes “The Meal” one of London’s longest running fundraising events
Since its inception, The Meal has raised over $1.6 million towards diabetes research. Now in its 34th year, a group of the most talented chefs in the London area will once again serve a feast of culinary delights in support of the CDA. Known simply as The Meal, the fundraiser will be hosted again at the Doubletree by Hilton London, Sunday, May 1st, 2016 (5 p.m. reception, 6 p.m. dinner). Julie Atchison and Nick Paparella of CTV London and Bill Brady will emcee the evening.
The evening starts with a champagne and martini reception featuring sushi, jumbo shrimp, smoked salmon, snow crab claws, caviar and Hayter’s Farm turkey appetizers. Following this, is a gourmet meal prepared under the direction of Hilton’s executive chef Todd Pylypiw. At dinner, there will be a selection of red and white wines carefully selected to complement the courses. To close the dinner, there is the dessert extravaganza, a vast buffet of delectable sweets, set up in the adjoining ballroom.
