How can I register?
You can register for the Diabetes Canada Type 1 Conference in two ways:

Who can register?
Anybody can attend the Type 1 Conference. However, the Conference is of particular interest to adults and young adults diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, or those caring or supporting living with type 1.

How long is the Type 1 Conference?
The Type 1 Conference is a full day, from 8am to 4:00pm on Saturday, September 22.

Why is the Type 1 Conference only in Toronto?
There are costs associated with hosting a Type 1 Conference, which limits the number of events we can host. The goal is to rotate hosting cities. In addition, Diabetes Canada does offer free education opportunities in communities across Canada. Check the community events listings in your area of call 1-800-BANTING (226-8464) to learn about resources in your area.

Can I volunteer at the Diabetes Canada Type 1 Conference?
Yes! Please email T1Conference@diabetes.ca for volunteer opportunities.

Can I take my child? Is there childcare on site?
Even though the information at the Type 1 Conference will be useful for those caring for individuals living with type 1 diabetes, there will not be child care on site.

Will food and snacks be provided?
Yes, lunch and light snacks will be provided for each Diabetes Canada Type 1 Conference participant.
