What is a CDA Expo?
This is an empowering half-day education event open to the public and created primarily for people living with diabetes. Each event offers practical and up-to-date tips on how to live a full and healthy life with diabetes. The CDA Expo event features special keynote speaker Dr. Ali Zentner, MD. As well, each Expo includes additional guest speakers and local content.

Who can register?
Anybody can attend a CDA Expo. However, the Expos may be of particular interest to those living with or affected by diabetes. CDA Expos cover such a wide array of topics related to healthy living that we encourage everyone interested in leading a healthy life to attend.
How long is the CDA Expo?
Each CDA Expo is approximately four hours long.
Why is the CDA Expo only in 10 communities?
There are costs associated with hosting the CDA Expo, which limits the number of locations where CDA can host the events. The goal is to rotate hosting cities each year. In addition, CDA does offer free education opportunities in communities across Canada. Check the community events listings in your area or call 1-800-BANTING (226-8464) to learn about resources in your area.
Can I volunteer to assist with the CDA Expo?
Yes. Please contact your local Canadian Diabetes Association Office to find out how you can get involved with the Expo in your community.
Do I need to participate in physical activity?
No, this isn’t a fitness event. However, there may be optional physical activity demonstrations that you may feel free to try.
