How to Recognize Fundraisers at Your Door
Canadian Diabetes Association canvassers.
Our fundraisers are out in communities across Canada to raise much needed awareness and donations to lead the fight against diabetes and achieve our mission to help those affected by diabetes live healthy lives, preventing the onset and consequences of diabetes, and discovering a cure.
While thousands of CDA volunteers participate in outreach and fundraising work, due to the sensitive financial information exchanged when you choose to become a monthly supporter, we will employ professional companies to assist us with this work.
All of our canvassers can be easily identified and are equipped with Canadian Diabetes Association identification badges and/or branded attire, as well as marketing materials with our charitable registration number and contact information.
Below you will see an example of our volunteer canvassers, as well as our partner fundraisers from Public Outreach, who will use iPhones to securely capture information for sustained gifts.

CDA ensures that all of our fundraisers are in compliance with all applicable laws and industry practices. We take pride to ensure that all of our fundraisers are professional, courteous and knowledgeable of CDA and our important work.
If you would like to confirm the identity of a canvasser, or have any comments or concerns, please call our Donor Relations team at 1-800-BANTING (226-8424), Monday to Friday, between 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
