Living with diabetes isn’t cheap. Finding the right medical supplies can also be taxing. To make life easier, the Association runs a medical supplies store in Victoria that specializes in diabetes management and wound care.
Youth on It eases impact of diabetes
Young people living with diabetes face many hurdles as they move into adulthood. Youth On It, a first-of-its-kind resource spearheaded by the Canadian Diabetes Association, seeks to help make the transition a little easier.
Information line a vital link for Chinese-speaking community
To help people cope, the Association’s Pacific Area runs the Diabetes Information and Support Centre (DISC), often an initial point of contact for the newly diagnosed. Trained volunteers provide up-to-date information, resources, referrals and support.
