The Learning Series Presentations in Newfoundland and Labrador
Would your service club, school, association or other group like to learn more about diabetes? Call us and ask about the Learning Series Presentations.
These presentations are targeted towards people diagnosed, undiagnosed as well as those at risk for developing diabetes. It provides consistent, up-to-date referenced diabetes information.
Volunteers and employees throughout Newfoundland and Labrador have been trained to deliver these programs that include information on the following topics:
• Diabetes: What You Need to Know
• Living Well with Diabetes
• About the Canadian Diabetes Association
• Diabetes for Healthcare Workers
• Aboriginal adaptation of the Learning Series is also available
• Children’s adaptation titled: The Cellbertons in What’s Diabetes?
• Youth adaptation titled: Growing up Well
Presentations can be tailored by adding information about Diabetes Care, Nutrition, Physical Activity, Smoking & Diabetes, Diabetes & Mental Health and Preventing the Complications of Diabetes.
