Dufresne’s $1 Million Charity Challenge BONUS
The Challenge:
In 2011, the Dufresne Foundation awarded the Canadian Diabetes Association $20,000 to help us to lead the fight against diabetes.
This time, the Dufresne Foundation would like to give an extra $5,000 to one charity as part of the Dufresne’s $1 Million Charity Challenge BONUS.
This challenge is on Facebook only so tell all your friends and family to log in and help the Canadian Diabetes Association win this challenge – we’re competing with 50 other charities! But with your help, the Canadian Diabetes Association can win this challenge!
How to participate:
1. Click on this link >> www.dufresne.ca/facebook.
2. Click the ‘Like’ button near the top of the screen to start the process.
3. Login to your account.
4. Click the ‘Like’ button the second time. This will indicate your like for Dufresne’s Facebook page.
5. Scroll down the page to see the list of charities you are able to vote for. The 8th one down the list is the Canadian Diabetes Association. Vote for us!
6. A small window will pop up asking for your permission to this application. Please click ‘Allow’ to continue.
7. Finally, you will be brought to a screen asking you to share this information with your friends. Type something to encourage your Facebook community to do the same and share, share, share!
What Canadian Diabetes Association will get if we win:
Dufresne will donate a $ amount based on the number of likes on their Facebook page – not counting the 3,500 likes they started with before the challenge. So far, the donation is amounting to $1,132. We want to reach the maximum = $5,000!
To determine the winner, Canadian Diabetes Association must receive the highest number of votes. The total number of votes does not matter, just as long as Canadian Diabetes Association has the highest number of votes by the end of March 31, 2012.
So to clarify:
Total number of LIKES (minus 3,500) = total dollar amount to be donated
Highest number of VOTES = winner of total dollar amount to be donated
So click on the link, login and like the Dufresne Facebook page and vote for Canadian Diabetes Association. It’s an easy way to donate by just clicking on your mouse button!
