Vancouver, BC – Team Diabetes’ first hiking adventure in Costa Rica gets support from US independent TV station, KVOS. Seen on Channel 30 on Shaw cable, 52 on Delta Cable and Channel 12 in North West Washington, the station enjoys 90% viewership from the Lower Mainland and throughout South West B.C.  From August 28 until September 3, the station’s On Scene community calendar will promote the fundraising escapade in the exotic Rincon de la Vieja National Park, Costa Rica.

“We are pleased to assist Team Diabetes’ fundraising efforts,” said Dale McCarthy, Promotions Director at KVOS. “We’re confident that the spots will help Team Diabetes reach its recruitment and fundraising targets in this exciting tropical destination.”

“We’re thrilled that KVOS is supporting us in our efforts to promote a healthy, active lifestyle and to assist people living with diabetes,” said Fred DeFina, Director, Team Diabetes, Canadian Diabetes Association.
