2012 Camp Application Process
Before applying for camp, please read the following important information.
Information about applying for camp:
- All camper applicants will be required to submit a $100 deposit per camper at the point of application.
- You may submit applications for up to 3 children with type 1 diabetes at the same time. Each child will require a $100 deposit (e.g. if you submit applications for 3 children, you will be required to make a total deposit of $300).
- To apply for camp online, you will need to provide credit card information to process your deposit.
- Applicants who apply online will receive an email immediately confirming that their application has been received.
- If you decide to apply for camp using our paper application form, you may pay your deposit by credit card, cheque or money order.
- All applications for our camps are subject to review by our camp directors. As such, we cannot guarantee your spot at camp until we have made this review. If your child is not offered a spot at camp, we will refund your deposit.
- Once you apply online, you will receive an email receipt acknowledging your application. Included with the email, you will receive a full registration package, including medical forms and final payment information.
- Most of our camp spots are on a first come, first served basis. We do, however, reserve a number of spots for children who are newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes or who have never attended one of our camps.
- We give first priority to campers attending camp in their province of residence. Please apply for camps in your own province first.
Campership
All camp fees at Canadian Diabetes Association camps are subsidized through the generous support of our donors. In addition, the Canadian Diabetes Association is able to offer a limited number of fee subsidies, called Camperships, to help families who would otherwise not be able to afford camp. If you require a Campership, please indicate your request on the application form.
Refund policy
- Deposits are only refundable if the Canadian Diabetes Association cannot offer your child a spot at our camps.
- Deposits and camp fee are non refundable if the application is withdrawn by the applicant.
