Thank you to all the supporters of the GTA’s Second Annual Flame of Hope Golf Tournament, which raised over $80,000! Once again, your support has helped us fund innovative medical research, which will bring us closer to a cure for diabetes. People who live with diabetes or love someone who does share one dream – a cure. Today we know there is hope.
Not since the discovery of insulin 90 years ago has the medical community been so excited by all of the research that is leading to a possible cure. Diabetes discoveries, innovations, and breakthroughs begin at events just like this. Since 1975, caring donors like you have helped the Canadian Diabetes Association invest more than $100 million in research grants and awards. Currently, 107 Association-funded researchers are working to honour their legacy, and yours.
This tournament has been months in the planning and would not have happened without the tremendous support of the generous sponsors, donors, volunteers and staff. Thank you all for having made this day possible.
Across the country, the Canadian Diabetes Association is leading the fight against diabetes by helping people with diabetes live healthy lives while we work to find a cure. Supporters like you are a part of every victory against diabetes, large and small.
