The Victoria Marathon is a beautiful, seaside course, voted one of the top 10 destination Marathons in North America by Runner’s World Magazine.
The picturesque route for the full and half marathon begins on Menzies Street and scenic features along the route include: BC Legislative Buildings, Ogden Point, statue of Terry Fox at Mile ‘O’ and Beacon Hill Park. Marathoners also run along beautiful Oak Bay. The 8K Road Race is an out-and-back along the waterfront with views of the spectacular Olympic Mountain Range.
Victoria is Western Canada’s oldest city. The City began in 1843 as a Hudson Bay Company trading post, and was established as the provincial capital when British Columbia joined the Canadian Confederation in 1871.
