Reykjavik
2013 will be 30th Anniversary of the Reykjavik Marathon so we couldn’t miss the opportunity to return to our most popular event to celebrate with them! This event is a unique opportunity to travel to one of the most remote yet visually stunning regions on earth. The course follows Reykjavik’s beautiful coastline and the marathon starts and finishes in the heart of downtown Reykjavik. Participants can choose between a 10K, half marathon (21.1K) or marathon (42.2K).
Team Diabetes is excited to offer our fourth “Conquer” destination with The Walking Connection! Conquer the Crater is a spectacular one day hike that will offer participants an amazing challenge off the beaten track. Iceland’s dramatic and unique landscape will provide a once in a lifetime hiking experience that you will not forget! Participants can choose between a 6K, 14K and 24K hike.
Check out our short video about Iceland.
Amsterdam
Featuring 165 canals with a total length of 100K, visitors soon discover why Amsterdam is nicknamed the “Venice of the North”. Crossing the canals are more than 1,500 bridges and along its borders are colourful boats and a wide array of interesting and historic buildings. The race starts and finishes in the impressive 80 year old Olympic Stadium and the flat course crosses the Amstel River and passes many popular tourist sites including the Rijksmuseum and Vondelpark. Participants can choose between an 8K, half marathon (21.1K) or marathon (42.2K).
