Keynote Speaker:Peter A. Hall, Ph.D., C.Psych – Associate Professor, Faculty of Applied Health Sciences, University of Waterloo
Presentation Topic: “Psychological Aspects of Diabetes”: Diabetes is a challenging disease to live with. This is true from emotional, relational and behavioral perspectives. In this talk Dr. Hall will discuss some of the common difficulties that are reported in each of these areas by those living with diabetes, and present strategies for dealing with them. Dr. Hall will also discuss the effect of diabetes on brain function, and discuss the potential role of exercise in offsetting adverse effects.
