OBJECTIVES
  • Review the characteristics of currently available glucose lowering therapies
  • Consider different ways to minimize hypoglycemia and difficult to manage patients with type 2 diabetes
  • Review simple approaches to managing depression in people with diabetes
  • Understand the link between diabetes and liver disease
  • Review the effect of glucose lowering drugs on important health outcomes
