Diabetes Update is a biennial, one-day continuing education event targeted to health care providers in primary and specialty care who are involved in diabetes education and management such as physicians, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, diabetes educators, medical residents and other allied health professionals.
This year’s course will address ways providers can incorporate the most recent scientific evidence into practice.
Topics will include:
* Early combination treatment for diabetes
* Practical approaches to patients with diabetes with high insulin requirements
* Diabetes and kidney disease
* Strategies for elderly patients with diabetes
* Case studies in insulin pump therapy
