SHAW supports Canadian Diabetes Association with Together is Amazing PSA

Tags: Saskatchewan

A beloved tradition for more than half a century, the Canadian Diabetes Association’s Camp Program has helped educate young people with type 1 diabetes and their families, create unique memories, and foster confidence and connection.

In July 2011, SHAW–with a view on capturing footage for its Together is Amazing series of public service announcements—was a guest at the Association’s Saskatchewan Family Camp—an opportunity for children with type 1 diabetes and their families to enjoy a summertime camp experience together.

Faith Rowland, Development Officer, Corporate and Major Gifts for the Association’s Northern Saskatchewan Region says she was pleased to host SHAW representatives at Manitou Beach, Saskatchewan, where the crew captured some of the happenings at Family Camp, including the young volunteers with the region’s Leaders in Training program. “It’s been fantastic working with SHAW on this special PSA: we’re so honoured by their interest in the Association, and thrilled that part of what we do for people living with diabetes will be shared in this unique way, in a number of markets.”
