De Dutch and their patrons help raise funds for diabetes

Surrey, BC (June 14, 2011) - During the entire month of June, De Dutch’s 21 locations in BC will be fundraising for Team Diabetes through its “It’s Just a Buck” campaign.  This is the second year the BC based chain has run the campaign.

“The first year we ran our ‘just a buck’ fundraiser in 2009, we raised over $6,500 for Team Diabetes,” says Bill Waring President of De Dutch.

“We moved this year’s fundraising event to June from November (diabetes awareness month) to help create more interest and awareness about the upcoming events Team Diabetes is participating in this year,” added Waring, who has participated in several running events on behalf of the Canadian Diabetes Association’s Team Diabetes program.
