Tags: Manitoba

Over a three day period –June 20, 21 and 22 - two Medicine Shoppe locations and a Prescription Shoppe location - members of the Canadian Diabetes Association’s Community Pharmacy Outreach Program (CPOP) - helped heighten diabetes awareness in Winnipeg by hosting Foot Clinics, with a total of 39 one-on-one appointments.

According to John Thompson, Owner/Pharmacist of The Medicine Shoppe at 101-2800 Pembina Highway, the Foor Clinics were a welcome opportunity for his clients. “Our customers said they really appreciated the privacy that the clinic atmosphere allowed, as well as the access to information. They were impressed with the event.” He added that through the assessments, he and his team were able to pinpoint a few people who needed follow up regarding their feet. “We’re glad to be of service…the even was a big hit.”
