Executive Summary
BC’s Diabetes Strategy created in 2002 needs an independent comprehensive review to ensure all provincial diabetes policies, programs and strategies – including BC PharmaCare – make tackling diabetes a priority in British Columbia for the next ten years. In addition to identifying cost savings that can be reallocated to protect and promote the health of all British Columbians, this review should address the needs of the more than 250,000 British Columbians living with diabetes today who deserve fair and equitable access to diabetes education, care, support and therapies to help them manage their disease effectively.
