Canadian Diabetes Association 2008 Clinical Practice Guidelines
Published only once every five years, the Association’s Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Prevention and Management of Diabetes in Canada represent the best and most current evidence-based clinical practice data for healthcare professionals. On a global stage, the Guidelines support the Canadian Diabetes Association’s status as a leader in diabetes prevention and management.
An Expert Committee of the Association’s Clinical & Scientific Section developed the Canadian Diabetes Association 2008 Clinical Practice Guidelines by assessing international peer-reviewed literature on this chronic condition to update the previous guidelines. Representing a broad range of health disciplines, the professionals evaluated the best evidence to guide screening, prevention, diagnosis, care, management and education for Canadians living with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes.
