The Diabetes Educator Section Mission
“The Diabetes Educator Section, a multidisciplinary professional section of the Canadian Diabetes Association, leads, advocates for and supports excellence in diabetes education for health care professionals and people living with diabetes.”
Strategic Plan 2010 to 2015
The new five-year DES strategic plan is a result of consultation, research and analysis, conducted since May 2008. The strategic plan was created in alignment with the mission of the Association. Successful implementation of the DES strategic plan assumes effective integration of the Diabetes Educator Section and its activities with other key functions of the organization, including research, marketing and communications, public policy and advocacy, and fund development.
