CALL FOR NOMINATIONS 2012
Are you a member of the Diabetes Educator Section (DES)? Do you want to make a significant contribution to diabetes education in Canada? Would you like to become more involved with the work the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) does?
The DES is a multidisciplinary professional section of the CDA that leads, advocates for and supports excellence in diabetes education for healthcare professionals and people living with diabetes.
The DES National Executive, a group of eight senior-level diabetes educators that represent and promote diabetes education across Canada. As a member of the Executive you will:
• Be involved in strategic planning;
• Address issues that impact the membership and diabetes education across Canada;
• Be a source of expertise on diabetes education for CDA and other organizations.
The DES National Executive is calling for nominations for two positions for three year terms to take effect in the Fall of 2012:
1. Director, Membership 3 Year Term
2. Director, Quality 3 Year Term
The deadline for nominations has been extended to June 4, 2012.
