Dr. Maureen Clement is a family physician with a consulting practice in diabetes, in the interior of British Columbia.
Dr. Woo is an Endocrinologist at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Woo was the Clinical & Scientific Section Chair in 2009 and 2010. He was also the Chair for the Canadian Diabetes Association 2008 Clinical Practice Guidelines.
Dr. Silverberg is an Endocrinologist, based at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and a Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Woo is an Associate Professor in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Ron Sigal is Professor of Medicine, Kinesiology, Cardiac Sciences and Community Health Sciences at the University of Calgary. He is active in clinical medicine, teaching and research.

Dr. Réjeanne Gougeon is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, researcher at the McGill Nutrition and Food Science Centre and associate member at the School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition of McGill University. Her clinical interests address behaviour modification and nutrition therapy in obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus, which are relevant to the mandate of CDA’s National Nutrition Committee that she chairs.
Dr. Robin Conway has been practicing as a Diabetologist in Eastern Ontario since 1990 and has a referral practice in Diabetes at the Diabetes Clinic in Smiths Falls. He is Research Director of the Canadian Centre for Research on Diabetes.
Dr. Onil Bhattacharyya is a Clinician Scientist at St. Michael’s Hospital and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family and Community at the University of Toronto. He studies new models of care for chronic disease and the development of Clinical Practice Guidelines. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the 2013 CDA Clinical Practice Guidelines.
Dr. Ian Blumer is an internist with a diabetes practice in Durham Region, Ontario. He is the advisor to the adult program of the Charles Best Diabetes Centre. He is the author/co-author of 6 books including Diabetes for Canadians for Dummies, and a recently released novel, Unto the Breach, written under his pen name, Sidney Gale.
Dr. Doreen Rabi is a Clinical Endocrinologist and an Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary. She spends most of her time in clinical research with a focus on sex differences in diabetes and cardiovascular outcomes and sex and gender informed healthcare delivery. Her research is supported by Alberta Innovates- Health Solutions, the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
Dr. Peter Senior trained in the UK and is Associate Professor in the Division of Endocrinology at the University of Alberta. He is the medical director of the Clinical Islet Transplant Program and leads a program for prevention of diabetic nephropathy in rural communities. He enjoys teaching students, physicians and healthcare professionals. In his spare time he enjoys walking his dogs and snowboarding (but not at the same time).
Dr. Ronald Goldenberg is a consultant Endocrinologist affiliated with North York General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario and LMC Endocrinology Centre in Thornhill. His major areas of interest include clinical care of diabetes, obesity, dyslipidemia and thyroid disorders.
Dr. Ravi Retnakaran is an Associate Professor in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Toronto and is a Clinician-Scientist based at the Leadership Sinai Centre for Diabetes at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. He is a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) New Investigator and Canadian Diabetes Association Clinician-Scientist.
Dr.Alice Cheng is an Endocrinologist at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga and St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and is the current Chair of the 2013 CDA Clinical Practice Guidelines.
Dr. Catherine Yu is a Staff Endocrinologist at St. Michael’s Hospital, Assistant Professor of Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, and Associate Scientist in the Keenan Research Centre in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital. She is involved in the development and evaluation of innovative and integrative tools for continuing professional development and patient education in chronic disease management.
Dr. Celine Huot is a Pediatric Endocrinologist and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at University of Montreal.
