2009 World Diabetes Congress Workshop
On October 23rd, 2009, the Canadian Diabetes Association, members of the Clinical and Scientific Section and members of the Diabetes Educator Section with funding from Public Health Agency of Canada, had the pleasure of organizing two workshops subsequent to the IDF World Congress in Montreal, Quebec.
The Canadian Diabetes in Pregnancy Study (CanDIPS) Group had the pleasure of bringing together International and Canadian health care providers, researchers and experts in the area of diabetes and pregnancy to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and creation of new ideas.
The International Workshop on the Practice of Diabetes Education was the “first of its” kind whereby diabetes educators from around the globe had the opportunity to network, discuss challenges and share solutions to diabetes education.
