Tools for Latin American populations

Materials adapted for Latin American communities and educators

People of Latin American descent include those who are from countries located in South and Central America and may predominantly speak Spanish or Portuguese.

To help health professionals to work with this population, a Latin American working group has developed the resources below. They include adapted Just the Basics resources, thumbnail images with approximate portion sizes of some common foods as well as other useful teaching aids.

    Just the Basics oral videos

    Some people prefer to assimilate information orally. To accommodate this preference, we have created oral versions of the Latin American languages of Just the Basics. The Latin American Working Group suggested that having this audio-visual option would be beneficial.
