Clinical Trials
The Canadian Diabetes Association allows healthcare professionals to post information on clinical trials and to recruit people to join a clinical trial study activity.
A clinical trial is a research study that uses human volunteers. Some clinical trials test new medicines or treatments, some follow a group of people over time (especially people in high-risk populations) to see how their health progresses, and still others test a group of people who have a certain disease, to see if there are common factors between them.
The posting of this information on the Canadian Diabetes Association’s website does not constitute the Association’s endorsement of the clinical trial, and the Canadian Diabetes Association assumes no responsibility for participants’ involvement in or the outcome of the clinical trial.
