Jean Coutu in Riverview is a new member of the Association’s Community Pharmacy Outreach Program (CPOP). CPOP partners demonstrate a high level of commitment and care for those living with diabetes.

As a valued partner, Jean Coutu will provide Association literature and resources. They also have a full-time staff member dedicated to meeting the needs of those affected by diabetes; Dr. Sarah Lord joins the team of healthcare professionals as their Health & Wellness Coordinator. This pharmacy is unique because it offers a variety of programs for people living with diabetes, including a walking club, diabetes education, cholesterol testing, blood pressure and diabetes testing clinics, body weight assessment, insulin pump sessions, peer support and—new this fall—smoking cessation, nursing foot care, pain clinics and memory testing (SMART Memory Clinic). Sarah also helps people in search of a family doctor and those who require help applying for financial assistance.
