Halifax, situated on the world’s second largest natural harbour, became Canada’s first permanent British town in 1749. The historic downtown waterfront areas of Halifax and Dartmouth are perfect for discovering on foot and both areas have numerous attractions to discover. The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, the Citadel National Historic Site, Province House - Canada’s oldest seat of government, and the Public Gardens are just a few of the “must sees” while in town! Cap off your day with delicious, fresh seafood and famous East Coast music.

Beyond the Halifax region, more cultural sites and natural attractions await. Whether it’s a day trip to scenic Peggy’s Cove, sea kayaking the incredible Bay of Fundy, visiting charming fishing villages or beachcombing stunning beaches, the beauty and warm hospitality of Nova Scotia is sure to inspire and captivate you.
