Association boosts Olympic spirit
The Canadian Diabetes Association encourages everyone to enjoy regular physical activity as a key component of a healthy lifestyle that can prevent or help manage diabetes. Now, active living offers another reward: the opportunity to join the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Torch Relay.
The Association is proud to announce that it will be a part of Coca-Cola’s Red Ribbon Panel to assist in the selection of Torchbearers for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Torch Relay. If you have demonstrated a commitment to an active lifestyle and are over the age of 13, you can apply through icoke.ca to earn a chance to be a Torchbearer and carry the Olympic Flame as it travels across Canada.
As a Presenting Partner of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay, Coca-Cola hopes to bring the Olympic values to life and inspire Canadians to make a lifelong commitment to live a more active lifestyle. SOGO Active is Coca-Cola Canada’s national youth active living program, created in collaboration with ParticipACTION, that gives Canadian teens the tools to design, change and control their own individual get-active plans.
With your participation, Coca-Cola and the Canadian Diabetes Association hope to make the powerful spirit and passion behind the Olympic Torch Relay attainable for all Canadians.
