Policy and Submissions
People living with diabetes face many issues that affect their physical, emotional and financial wellbeing. Diabetes also impacts the sustainability of our healthcare system and our prosperity.
To address these issues and advance our mission, our Association champions public policy direction to governments that seeks to:
- Improve the quality of life for people living with diabetes.
- Stem the rising prevalence and cost of diabetes across Canada to assist health system sustainability and economic prosperity.
Our Association makes representations to governments on a broad range of public policy issues concerning diabetes as it affects our healthcare system, our prosperity, and people living with the disease. Our position statements outline the Association’s stance on issues that affect people living with diabetes directly.
